Mark Haisma Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru Les Chaffots 2022

My second Mark Haisma wine, and it hints at the house style, as it’s similar to its Bourgogne little brother.

Premier cru depth for sure, it’s complex, seamless and enjoyable. There is a low intervention feel to it, though; nothing too funky or off, but it’s very developed, already tertiary, and I miss some definition – I don’t think it has vineyard expression, it feels like it lost some details. Great acidity, roundness, it drinks nicely and tastes like expensive wine, but the end of the plateau is near. Drink up this year, 91 points, €109,00.
