I loved the previous, 2022 vintage of this Beaujolais last year so I wanted to try the next release. The current 2023 is also a well-made, enjoyable wine, although I have the impression that simply 2022 is a greater vintage…
Textbook Beaujolais, its black cherry and strawberry driven nose nicely lifted by carbonic maceration, adding a hibiscus note to the mix. It’s juicy and balanced, light on its feet, offering good freshness and immediate drinking appeal. Less structured and intense than the 2022, but an enjoyable mid-week wine. 87 points, drink now (to 2027). 11,50€ at vinatis.com.
