Supermarket wines: Lidl Macon-Villages 2020

Very affordable for a Burgundy, but a great value regardless of wine region.

Entry level wines don’t get much better than this. You get the lovely Burgundy  character, finesse, elegance. It’s effortless, too. Nutty, slightly reductive aromas, yellow stone fruits. Such a seamless palate, not a hair out of place. On the lighter side, but so enjoyable. Highly recommended, 86 points. Was 2000 HUF in Lidl, you should buy a case or two at such price. 8 Euros in Germany.
