Supermarket wines: Léo de la Gaffeliére Bordeaux 2016

A bit more than 6 years old and this little Bordeaux red is in a great form. That’s not common from such relatively cheap wines from other wine regions…

A lovely affordable Bordeaux. So classic for the region, at its peak now. Open, intense with cedar box, tobacco notes. Hardly medium-bodied, linear and well structured. Silky smooth and elegant. Not complex but complete. An enjoable entry level wine with finesse. I could drink this every day. 86 points, bought it at Auchan for around 6€, good value. Available at Carrefour as well.
