Péter Pince Mézes-mály Hárslevelű 2021

Four years passed since I reviewed the 2018 vintage of this wine (read here), and while the current release is better, the price is almost the same. Great value!

From the high acid vintage 2021, it features 12 g/l residual sugar to balance the elevated 7,5 g/l acidity. Flowery, aromatic nose, opulent yet very fresh. Tropical fruits meet a touch of caramel oak. Light on its feet but big in flavour. Just a bit of sweetness. Remarkable intensity, outstanding aftertaste. This has impact and it’s quite delicious. Perhaps needs a bit of time to really come together. 89 points for now. 3500 HUF (9,5) at the winery web-shop. Drink now-2028.
