Cheap white burgundy: Famille Perrachon Bourgogne blanc 2022

Continuing with exploring easily available and affordable white burgundies, the next bottle is from Famille Perrachon. Compared to the previous one, the Cave de Viré VV, this is not a Macon but a straight Bourgogne, for the same price basically and from the same vintage. A clear step up in quality.

Proper white burgundy. Not a complex one, but quite solid for the price. Elegant, finessed, balanced – not a hair out of place here. Fresh, not oaky, with lemons, lemongrass and just a touch of nuttiness. Integrated acidity. Drinks well. A complete wine. I could drink this every day. Very good, 87 points. Drink now (and probably in 2025 the latest). Considering the genre, it’s good value for 13€ (or 14,86 £ in the UK), stockist is vinatis.com / vinatis.co.uk.
