Super, super little red from Languedoc. It’s the rare case when I’m 100% satisfied with a wine.
A Mediterranean red with freshness. Akin to Southern Rhone GSM’s, it’s pure and lively, fruit driven but savory, lead by bitter-sweet blackcurrant aromas. Medium-bodied, smooth and juicy, finishes with well-measured tannic grip. Drink now as it still has the primary intensity and it’s so seamless that does not require any aging. A benchmark for inexpensive Languedoc reds.
