Such an enjoyable and reliable chardonnay. I liked all vintages I’ve tried so far and the 2018 delivers again.
It’s not trying to imitate white Burgundy. New World chardonnay done in a good way. Ripe but also very fresh. A generous, yet sophisticated nose with citrus notes, yellow fruits and a well measured nuttiness in the background. A softer, not acid driven palate that just feels honest (i.e. not acid-adjusted), and even with some heat on the finish, the balance is good. Quite seamless, with layers of flavors, it’s so easy to enjoy.
