Haven’t had a Chilean white for a while and spot this in a local shop recently. If you hope that the style has change in the last decade, well, you will be disappointed.
The original New World style on show here. A crowdpleaser, too much so. The intensity, the richness is beyond its pricetag, and that’s great, it offers lots of flavour and substance to enjoy. But it lacks finesse and interest, there are no layers to explore, it becomes boring on the second sip already. Concentration cannot compensate for that. OKish, 80 points. Around 7-8€, 3150 HUF in Hungary at Bortársaság, widely distributed. Source: own purchase.
