Happy New Year! This champagne was opened last night at a tasting with my friends, and we loved it – if you are lucky (or rich) enough then you will probably have this in your glass while saying goodbye to 2023 tonight. It’s quite a pricey one, not surprisingly.
A beautiful champagne. So focused and precise, clean as a whistle. Fragrant, superfresh and loaded with citrus fruits, it’s not one strong on the leesy notes. Properly dry on the palate but not angular, the balance is spot on, and there is a nice creamy feel to the bubbles. Elegant, refined and so enjoyable. 92-93 points. Costs 40-42000 HUF in Hungary (Bortársaság, Radovin), 80 € in Germany, £79.00 in UK.
