At 18,38€ this is still a very affordable burgundy and I had no big expectations to be honest. But then I was blown away by the beauty of the wine… buy until stock last!
92% pinot noir, 8% césar. It’s probably the latter that adds a very interesting smoky note. A distinctive wine, yet a classic red burgundy: it has the savoury charm, the finesse one expects. Lovely traditional, cool climate character with some dark fruits in the background. Hardly medium-bodied, built on great, firm tannins, not acidity. Bone dry, beautifully balanced. Not showy or really complex, but it’s just real wine. One with a soul. Coup de coeur, 89 points. Good value at 18€, stockist is Vinatis. (Only 15€ currently, if you buy 2 bottles or more).
