Semillon – Sauvignon Blanc blends are a real strength of South Africa. Try Constantia Glen’s Two 2018 and you will be convinced right away.

The other New World wine from the Cabernet Franc blind tasting, and the other outstanding one. All the tasters loved it.
A curious blend: Cabernet and Cinsault. I follow the South African Winemag so I know this is a historical combination of the two grapes (mentioned here for example: Why Cinsault is becoming a thing (again) ), and I like the idea.
South Africa is not my most frequent choice when it comes to reds around 10 Euros. Wines like this could easily change my attitude.

Yesterday’s blind tasting with friends featured many good and some great wines, and this time the whites impressed me the most. My favorites were the most expensive ones in the lineup, though.
