One of the most Old-World-like Cabernet I have tasted from Australia. Big thumbs up.

A modern, well made Egri Bikavér: Böjt 2016
I attended Borjour’s so called Bikavér Duel event in March, where the two wine regions eligible to use the name Bikavér showcased their wines. Eger impressed me a bit more than Szekszárd, especially the Böjt 2016. I bought a bottle the next week.

A curious blend: Cabernet and Cinsault. A French take on Shiraz-Cabernet. Or do they make the original one? This blend is not uncommon in the south of France, just think of such icons as Domaine de Trevallon.
