Solid garnacha from Lidl. Old vine material for €4? It rather tastes like just cheap, €4 red wine, but a very good one.

Pale cherry red. It’s a bit like a South-African grenache on the nose, i.e. has a slightest touch of burnt rubber. Dried red cranberries, rose hips lead the way, though, with a bit of mint. Light and soft, easy to drink. It’s simple but has typicity and enough intensity to be enjoyable. Good everyday quaffer. Recommended. Drink now. 84 points.
