Bordeaux rarely disappoints me when it comes to red wines, I could not think of a more reliable wine region anywhere in the World.
Textbook traditional Bordeaux, focusing on elegance and balance. Nothing showy here, but after a few glasses are gone you just realize how delicious and good this is. Cedar box, ripe plum, spice aromas on the nose, with a slight sweet, minty edge, as if it would have seen a little of American oak. Hardly medium-bodied, alcohol is not a player here. Bone dry and tannic, so classic. Drinks so well.
