I have been buying Pierre-Marie Chermette’s Griottes every year since 2015. Partly because it’s one of the very few Beaujolais Nouveau available in Hungary but also because it’s quite reliable and simply delicious.
Cheerful and enjoyable as ever, but the 2021 isn’t the strongest version of this wine. Less precise than it used to be, earthy-dirty notes hiding some of the pretty berry fruits I would expect. It’s a bit simple and lean, too, but big on refreshment factor and savoury deliciousness.
