Almost good Sangiovese.
What a nice wine this could be. Aims at purity, unforced, well balanced. Smooth texture on the attack, then gorgeous tannins and proper grip. Has that trademark savory, sinewy character of Sangiovese. Unfortunately it’s slightly oxidized, somewhat stripped of aromas and intensity, and showing a bit of acetaldehyde – just like Pandolfa Federico from the same producer. Still not a bad wine but I could not recommend it. 80 points.
