A small batch Syrah from one of Szekszárd’s top producers, Heimann. The new generation – jr. Zoltán Heimann – is making more and more impact on the winery style and I’m sure this wine reflects his ideas.
A Szekszárd red that is not heavy or oaky at all. Some whole bunch inclusion? Red fruited, has freshness. It aims purity and drinkability, and I find it pretty nice, but a tad light. Well balanced, rather cheerful than serious, though it has enough tannin in the finish. I would happily drink this, but it’s expensive for what it is.
