Textbook grenache with warm climate ripeness, made in a drink me now style. Sweet nose showing sunbaked blackcurrants, cooked strawberries and licorice. Full and broad yet a tad simple, without much tannins or structure. Good but not entirely convincing, at least for its price – the Rhone often offers better value when it comes to grenache. Although it probably showed better as a young wine when primary fruits were present, it would be interesting to taste the current release 2021. 86 points. Price is around 8€, stockists: Decantalo,
