I looked back and found the tasting note of the 2010 vintage of this wine in my notes, but I think I had tasted even earlier vintages. As far as I can tell, both quality and style are similar these days, making this an absolutely reliable red wine. The current release is as good as the ones back then.

There isn’t a single detail here I could complain about. It’s pure, juicy and it has typicity – although it’s a cooler, fresher face of the genre. Dark berries on the nose with nuances of herbs, green peppercorns and bacon. It has tension and crunchiness on the palate, this isn’t your fat and flabby CdR. Good depth of flavor and a solid structure – it seemingly just starts to drink well and suggests a long life ahead (in context). Lovely, very good wine, 89 points and it’s great value for 8-10€, I’m gonna order more. Stockist: vinatis.com and many more.
