Following on the Kakas, here is another rose from Villány, but this time from Bock, a just as big and well-known producer as Vylyan. Theirs is a more successful wine if you ask me, I would definitely recommend it.
Finally a Hungarian rose that does not taste artificial! No bubble gum here just savoury white currants and slightly underripe cherries. Almost medium-bodied, it’s not the lightest rose; refreshing yet round rather than acid driven. A precise, well-made entry level wine, a quite pleasant drink. Good (84 points), I would buy it again. Great value at 2000 HUF, widely distributed in Hungary (Auchan, etc).
