Not a refined wine, but it’s stupidly cheap and actually good!
Costs less than 3 Euros locally (900 HUF), there aren’t many bottled red wines around that is cheaper. And it’s not just acceptable, but good. A bit of a Rioja cliche with lots of sweet oak and an easy to understand character, but pretty fruit flavors match that oak, it tastes balanced, with nice acidity, gentle tannins and moderated alcohol. A bit simple overall, but it’s a lot of wine for the money, juicy and easy to drink. A nice crowdpleaser. Good (84 points) and fantastic value. Drink now-2025. Stockist is Lidl, £ 4.99 in UK.
