The first review of a laska on this blog! This black grape was planted in Hungary in the past but then disappeared, and of course it’s József Szentesi who brought it back for us. In 2020 it produced a wine that holds great promise for the future.

The house style really comes thorough, this definitely smells like a Szentesi red, but not like any other variety grown in Hungary. Pinot noir-like in a way, the color is on the pale side and there is a light touch and effortless to its structure. Juicy, seamless and pure, no make-up here. Texture and intensity are where it shines. Such an interesting wine. 88 points, 8900 HUF at Radovin.
