Opened this bottle on the same night as the Aly Duhr Luxembourg Riesling, it’s such a different face of the variety. I love both them…
Unmistakable Australian riesling profile. Steely, precise on the nose, with that typical celery driven, lemon aromatics, even showing white pepper – I always find a resemblance to Austrian grüner veltliner in these. It’s less lean and austere than most, being rather delicate and elegant. So lively, yet gentle and smooth. Perfect now, though surely can be aged for many years.
