An Australian cabernet that does not try to emulate Bordeaux, yet it’s not overdone at all. Clare Valley rarely disappoints…
Lush and generous, but there is elegance and restrain to it as well. Minty Oz cab nose, clean and precise. Quite developed with lots of tobacco and tomato leaf. Medlar, gasoline notes appear, too; it’s quite nuanced. Mellow and smooth on the palate, with good concentration and weight. Just a tiny bit of sweetness, but it’s savoury overall. A tad hot on the finish. Easy to enjoy, 89 points. Drink now-2024. Good value. 10.68€, stockist is Vinello in Europe.
