You probably don’t buy a nebbiolo if you are not prepared for drying tannins. It’s part of the game and I usually like it, but in this case I struggled a bit.

Australian nebbiolo is quite different from Piedmont versions, but it can be great, too. Made with semi-carbonic maceration this Mayer Nebbiolo is even more unusual – and what a nice wine it is!
