The 2017 is the latest release of the szamorodni from the most famous producer of Tokaj, Szepsy. A great wine, although quite pricey for 42€…
Lush, rich, although it’s not one of those eszencia-imitating, heavyweight szamorodnis – RS is 177 g/l here. Despite the concentration it’s elegant for the style, rather sophisticated than powerful. Pears, dried apricots, quince and wax on the nose, it’s still quite young at this point. A bit of bitterness on the finish. A layered, great wine, complex enough for contemplation and equally delicious. 92+ points. Drink now-2032. 16 000 HUF, stockist is Bortársaság.
