Auchan nailed it again. Red wine for 6 euros not often gets as good as this.
Pixel-perfect little Bordeaux. While retains typicity, less oaky than the standard, the fruit does the talk. Pretty blackberry, black cherry aromatics with supporting cedary notes, the ripeness is spot on, and it’s just 13,5%. So smooth and seamless, elegant, balanced from attack to finish – classic Bordeaux. This could easily be a Cru Bourgeois. A lovely wine, perfect in its class, and you can even age it for a few years.
