Such a reliable wine. Although the 2019 is already released, this 2018 might still be around, and it’s well worth the asking price.
Oaky style of Chianti here, but that oak is integrated, adds a smokey, dark background to the dried black cherry nose. It’s compact and restrained, medium-bodied and well balanced. Not a complex wine but such an authentic representation of the genre with its savoury and gently austere character. Well made and enjoyable, a nice everyday red to drink now or in the next three years. Good to very good, i.e. 87 points. Such a great value at 1800 HUF (4,5€) that I bought a case. Stockist: Lidl.
