My pick from the Silvia Heinrich range is the entry level blaufrankisch. The more expensive ones are a bit too oaky for me (my common complain about Burgenland reds), but this is lovely.
Unoaked and all the better for it. Modern, precise and fragrant, oozes cool climate. Almost Northern-Rhone syrah-like with its fresh, black pepper infused nose. Lean in a good way, bright and graceful. Nice acidity, perfect balance. Exemplary blaufrankisch. 89 points, great value at € 9,90. Bought it at the cellar door.
