I have had some disappointing chianti recently, then bumped into this. Now we are talking.
A little Brunello I would say. Dried figs, black cherries, leather and balsamic notes, such a pretty aromatics. Savoury and a bit sinewy, hardly medium-bodied and finishes with chewy tannins – what I hope to find in a sangiovese. Lovely traditional style, restrained in a way, but packed with flavor. Give me more!
