Liked this Kadarka at a public tasting a few months ago, so wanted to try it at home.
Such a typical Kadarka in many respects. I like the savoury, tight and pure style, it’s not dissimilar to a simple Burgundy. Completely dry and does not lack tannins like many of its peers. But the medicinal-earthy Botrytis character which is also a common feature of the variety (due to its susceptibility to rot) is distracting for me at the end.
Poor, if not undrinkable, 77 points. Around 3-4 Euros in supermarkets. Own purchase.
