A quite common Furmint and Hárslevelű blend from one of the best producers of Tokaj, positioned just under 10 Euros so that it’s affordable. Production is also considerably bigger for this entry level white, than for the top wines.
Alc.: 12.5%, no oak, screwcap closure. Crisp, clean and refined – the modern side of Tokaji. White peach and lemongrass nose with a slightly aromatic, flowery edge. Delicate and precise. Great balance, high acidity rounded out by some residual sugar – it tastes dry. So well made, sets the bar for sub-10 EUR Tokaji. Drinks well, perfect for the summer months.
Rating: good to very good, 87 points.
