If you saw my previous post I’m sure it’s the third bottle on the photo which got your attention (same photo is featured here). A Les Clos Grand Cru Chablis – a rare treat for most of us, and it’s not just getting crazy expensive but it’s not even easy to find.
I bought a few bottles many years ago, for €42,50, and it was a good deal. Opened one back then and it blew me away, and this bottle comes close…
Elegance is what comes into my mind first. It’s about balance, drinkability and classic tight structure. Complexity combined with restraint. Captivating nose, ages beautifully, turning into golden fruits, still suggesting cool climate. A distinct sage topnote. Compact and has great length. A noble wine.
Rating: world class white, 93 points.
Price: was €42,50.
