Petit Bandol. Or something like that. Actually tastes a bit different, which is not surprising when we take a look at the composition: Mourvedre, Grenache and Cinsault, roughly one-third each.
Lovely wine. Has a real personality, it’s generous and ripe, but has an almost Bordeaux-like restraint and shape – which is not surprising considering the Chateau Giscours connection. Menthol on the nose! As well as dark, ripe fruits showing freshness too. Refined on the palate with a creamy texture, yet it’s bone dry. Quite tannic on the finish, without being rustic.
